Together we are growing as disciples of Jesus Christ.
Registration is now open for all Formation Activities
Family Faith Formation
Family formation is designed especially for families with children in grades 3K-Grade 5. The entire family gathers at the parish twice a month on either a Sunday morning or Monday evening. We share food and family centered activities before child breakout sessions along with time for adults to grow as disciples. Families sign up for sessions on either Sunday morning from 10:15AM-11:45AM or Monday evenings from 5:30PM-7:00PM. You can find more specific information at our website: Family Formation, or by contacting Jess Panlener, Child and Family Discipleship Coordinator at (414) 425-2174 or [email protected]
EDGE
Edge is a Catholic ministry designed specifically for middle school aged teens (grades 6-8) that helps them grow in relationship with Jesus Christ, build community and strengthen their prayer lives. Teens meet in a large group with trained adult leaders and often break off into small groups for activities and discussion. EDGE meets on Sunday mornings from 10:15AM-11:30AM or Monday evenings from 6:00PM-7:15PM. You can find more specific information at EDGE or by contacting Julianne Elouadih, Youth and Young Adult Discipleship Coordinator at (414) 425-2174 or [email protected]
High school aged teens (grades 9-12) participate in Life Teen on Sunday evenings from 6:30PM-8:00PM. Life Teen is a Catholic ministry that leads teens to a deeper encounter with Jesus Christ. Teens grow as disciples, build community, strengthen their prayer lives and are empowered to live a life of mission in the world. Sessions begin in a large group with trained core team members before breaking off into small groups for activities and discussions. Each session closes with the large group back together for prayer. Visit our LIFE TEEN webpage for more information or contact Julianne Elouadih, Youth and Young Adult Discipleship Coordinator at (414) 425-2174 or [email protected]..
PREPARATION FOR SACRAMENTS
If you are looking for preparation for sacraments, you have come to the right place. Here are a few instructions to help you navigate the registration process.
A Note on Sacramental Requirements
Reception of the Sacraments of 1st Reconciliation, 1st Eucharist and Confirmation are significant moments in the life of a disciple of Jesus Christ. These sacraments build upon a relationship that has already been established. Knowing this we have established some general guidelines that in a simple way show the development of this relationship.
Preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist is available to those children who have completed one full year of faith formation and have at least begun second grade. One full year of faith formation is completed by participation in a parish formation program, enrollment in a Catholic school, or approved curriculum in a home-school environment. These children also continue to participate in the parish formation program or our Catholic school.
Teens preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation must be at least 16 years of age by the time of the celebration of the sacrament. To enter into preparation for the sacrament at St. Mary teens should be actively growing in their faith throughout high school. This is typically accomplished through participation in our LIFE TEEN Ministry or through theology courses at their Catholic high school.
